Lactic acid is a type of AHA (α-hydroxy acid) and a component of the skin’s natural moisturizing factor (NMF). Compared to AHA “glycolic acid”, which is a typical peeling ingredient, it has a larger molecular weight and acts mildly on the thin stratum corneum of Japanese people.
Japanese people have a thinner stratum corneum than Westerners, so HiCA Peel Care Serum contains lactic acid as a peel care ingredient.

Lactic acid is a type of AHA (fruit acid). It is also a constituent of the skin’s natural moisturizing factor (NMF). It has a strong effect of conditioning cuticles, and acts more gently on the superficial layer of the skin to remove the dead and old cuticles on the surface.
Unlike glycolic acid, another AHA commonly used as a peeling agent, lactic acid has a larger molecular weight and is gentler on the skin’s surface layers.
Since individuals with dry skin tend to have a thinner stratum corneum, HiCA Peel Care features lactic acid as a peeling agent.

1. Take a coin-sized amount of Peel Care serum in your hand after washing your face.
2. Gently spread the toner over your face, being careful to avoid the eye area.
3. If you have specific areas of concern, you can apply the product to those areas a few times.
4. By using cotton pads, you can apply this product as a cleansing serum.
*If your skin is sensitive, it’s recommended to use a toner as the first step. Or start using 3-4 drops, and increase the amount by checking your skin condition.
If irritation is a concern, use after toning your skin with lotion.

As long as you take good care of your skin, you can use it in the morning without any problem. In general, during the day, the skin tends to be dry and irritated due to the effects of UV rays, the outside air, and makeup. Also, the few hours after going to bed is an important timing called the golden time for beautiful skin. HiCA Peel Care Serum, which is aggressive skin care, is recommended to be used before going to bed (at night).
The formula is designed with Japanese skin sensitive to irritation in mind, and patch tests have been conducted for Japanese people with sensitive skin (it does not mean that irritation does not occur to all people) If this happens, please try a small amount after conditioning your skin with lotion.
Depending on how much you use each time, you can use it for about 2 months if you use it 3 times a week.
